After my trip to Chicago where I had awesome deep dish pizza at Kitchen 17, I've been wanting more pizza. So for my birthday I decided to check out Paulie Gee's and see if I could find a new pizza spot that wasn't miles away. Paulie Gee's has a whole section of the menu dedicated to vegan pizzas with 10+ options! They also have vegan dessert menu that includes a dessert pizza!
Sometimes vegan cheese tastes weird especially melted...yea this is not the case at Paulie Gee's The pizza was so freaking good. We decided to split two pizzas and quickly decided to order a third when we realized we were devouring the pizza.
The first pizza is the Chop’t ’Til You Drop. Honestly anything pesto and mushroom related count me in! The pizza has sliced cremini mushrooms, NUMU vegan mozzarella and nut-free kale pesto from the kitchen of Chop’t Creative Salad Company.
The middle pizza is the Jackie Green which has vegan tomato sauce, basil, NUMU vegan mozzarella and vegan meatballs made with green jackfruit. I have seen so many recipes online with jackfruit but have been quite intimidated on trying it since I didn't know if I'd like it. Yup this pizza was great!
The last pizza we ordered was soooo good!! It's called In Ricotta Da Vegan and has vegan tomato sauce, house-made vegan sausage, post-oven house-made cashew ricotta dollops, baby arugula, and extra virgin olive oil. This one was our favorite!
And then it was time for dessert! I had a vegan cheesecake.. oh my god this is literally what dreams are made of! Seriously do yourself a favor and check out Paulie Gee's!
